As a person who obsesses over type, it was with much interest that I discovered this (seemingly) new foundry this morning. Okay Type is a small type foundry located in Brooklyn, New York. The man (I am going to go out on-a-limb here and just assume it is a man, based only on the fact that you’ll find a men’s bike in the studio photo on the website) behind Okay Type sounds a little lonely: “We’re a small type boutique from Brooklyn. Actually, we’re about as small as you can get. Most of our days are spent drawing, designing, programming, and talking to our cats. It would be nice to hear from someone else”. Why not cheer him up, send an email and say hello, and while you are at it—take a look at some of the initial typeface samples he has for sale—top-notch work.
