Great works updated their website last Friday before the 4th. Site make use of some beautiful typography, illustration, and standards based web design. Great works is located in Stockholm, New York, Tokyo, and Barcelona.
The design and layout is a good example of a move away from flashy websites using…. flash, to sites that focus more on how best to display information. In this case they’ve got the crisper and cleaner route, but with plenty space to fill the page with beautiful design details and imagery. The case study pages are great examples of creating a canvas and layout to really speak to the approach and success of the work, rather than focus on the eye candy.
