Restored NYC subway animation

If you happen to be riding the Q train into Manhattan from Brooklyn, perhaps you’ll be lucky enough to see this beautiful renovation of the original work by Bill Brand in 1980. We’ve seen more of this technique used more recently for advertising, but this was originally done to replicate the experience of the zoetrope on a massive scale – hence called the Masstransiscope.
