Typekit – Finally some fonts?

typekit
The internet was abuzz today over Typekit, the latest way to get custom fonts into websites. From the sounds of it, this will be a much cleaner, more reliable method than the otherwise half acceptable sIFR. Typekit is actually working with type foundries to set up a method to serve up custom fonts as needed using a simple bit of javascript, and avoiding the hassles of flash replacement, DRM, or font licensing issues.

Typekit is being launched by Jeff Veen and his company Small Batch, Inc. including members of the team that brought us Google Analytics, Bryan Mason, Ryan Carver, and and Greg Veen.
