The new Air Jordan 2009 website is an impressive demonstration of 3D Flash design put to fantastic use. Notably the navigation is essentially a very 2D experience, tracking left to right along a track while the visuals are 3D and beautiful. Reminds me a bit of back when game designers discovered the advantages to making 3D platforms that played in a very linear left to right way, but used the visuals to attract players and introduce extra details only possible with that extra visual dimension. This website succeeds gracefully for many of the same reasons. Produced by Marcus Eriksson.
