56 Leonard, an upcoming luxury residential development in Manhattan by architects Herzog & De Meuron, is also blessed with a dynamic and beautiful website. The navigation scheme is strait-forward and intuitive. The movement from section to section has a spacial quality that also hints at the very vertical nature of this especially tall building.
A good use of negative space is complemented by some well done, large, crisp typography. High-quality photographs decorate the site while the user moves from section to section.
To top it off, a most impressive video by Tronic serves as both an intro to the building and a dynamic promotional simulation for this luxurious development. The simulation includes models of all the buildings in a six block area while the new structure is assembled before our eyes. During that process the view gets a great look at a stainless steel sculpture near the entrance by Anish Kapoor.
